How to read the tuner

The Western name reports the nearest equal-tempered pitch. The Sargam name is calculated from your selected Sa. Cents show the distance from the nearest chromatic centre, while stability reports how little the held pitch moves over recent frames.

Use it inside a task

  1. Set the same Sa as your drone or lesson.
  2. Choose one target swara.
  3. Sing from silence rather than sliding into place.
  4. Stop after two or three stable repetitions.
