Capture the keys you play, or type a short phrase from your own notes. Each captured note starts at 1 beat. Use E:2 for a held key and _ for a rest. Touch-only notes use Western names, such as C6:2. Up to 48 notes per phrase.

Your notes stay on this device. Copying a phrase link includes those notes for its recipient.

Built for a practice loop

More than a keyboard.
A way to begin.

The useful question is not only “which key is Re?” It is “what should I practise next?” Each control is organised around listening, repeating, and reviewing a short attempt.

01 · Listen

Build a steady centre.

Choose Sa, then use a Tanpura-inspired or shruti-box drone as a quiet pitch anchor.

02 · Repeat

Follow one short phrase.

Hear the reference, follow the glowing keys, and let the next note wait for you.

03 · Review

Keep your last attempt.

Record the studio output, compare it locally, then download or delete it. No account required.

Can I follow the original Web Harmonium GitHub tutorials here?

Choose Original tutorial layout, octave 4 and transpose 0. E R T Y U I O P then plays C D E F G A B C, matching Rajaraman Iyer’s original key map. This is an independent site, with its own synthesised sound.

Can I download song keys and return to the same phrase?

Yes. Download phrase PNG saves the laptop keys, Sargam, beat durations and a QR code. Copy phrase link shares the same layout, tuning, tempo and next note. Save for later adds a Continue last practice link on this device.

Can I play this harmonium without installing anything?

Yes. Tap a key to start Web Audio, then use touch, your computer keyboard, or a compatible MIDI controller.

What should I choose as Sa?

For vocal practice, choose a pitch that lets your low and high notes feel relaxed. You can change Sa at any time and the Sargam labels and drone will follow it.

Are my recordings uploaded?

No. The session recorder captures the studio output and stores it in this browser on this device. You can play, download, or delete it locally.
